Forgotten

Went for my 2nd last training last saturday. I got a pair of tickets to the Chingay 2009 preview parade. Anyway, when I was watching the video they showed us, guess what? We, the blue elves are probably the forgotten one. At the most, you can only see the wings of the queen butterfly. At every single training, we are usually the abandoned one, having no one to oversee us.

I still have another volunteer role at the upcoming OCBC Cycle 2009 held at the F1 pit building. There is a meeting on the 7th February but the venue is not confirmed. Saw the schedule and I have to be there at 0330 until 1400 hours probably. What the Hell? 3.30 in the morning??

Yo ppl! How are you doing? Great? Fine? Awesome. I have a minor announcement to make: I got my Specialization Course which is SPAERO! AEROSPACE! My first choice! Thank god that NYP decided to offer this course in the 2009/2010 batch onwards. If not, I would be stuck with none of the choices. And I got my results back: A,C and D.

It is now down to the last two training session for Chingay 2009. I'm still with the Blue Elves. If I had a choice back then, I would have chosen the bee. Not because of the costume but the dance steps. When I see their dance steps, it was far more better than us, the Elves, every time having to do the Mass Dance every time we come. It is boring just repeating the same dance over and over again. On the other hand, we, the blue elves, are most probably the most slackest group out of all the elves (and possibly the entire contingent). I will be skipping school on the 30th for the Parade (With an excuse letter of course).

I have been keeping this feeling for a long time now and I feel like venting out onto my blog so readers, I do not have any hatred towards you guys and gals but to that particular someone in my class:
You are really a one of a kind asshole, you know that? Every time I see you, I can feel that kind of shitty arrogance that you always stride along, like showing off to impress someone. So what? Fuck it. I don't care about you anymore. My heart has closed its doors to you, moron. And do it discreetly also. You, my friend, totally sucked at this, unfortunately. It's so obvious that I can even see it with both my eyes closed. You can't even handle the slightest thing and you're already making a racket out of it. Every time I see you, I feel like screaming at you, slapping at you, punching at you and beating the shit out of you. And finally we have to part ways. So I don't give a fuck to you and I shall never see your fucking face again.

Attended my 6th or 7th Chingay Rehearsal training yesterday. Since we needed 8 people to carry the Queen butterfly, three people didn't turn up so the OC had to assign other people to replace them temporarily for the day. What you didn't know was that yesterday was the media rehearsal run. So we had to do two runs in our costumes and make-ups. And we were particularly bored because we couldn't go anywhere, we had to keep holding onto the poles. Otherwise, the queen butterfly will fall. We got to see a bit of the Chingay preview (me:can't tell you what it is). I would like to applaud these two gentlemen who were wearing masks which were super cool! and not forgetting the drum group! You guys did fantastic.

I finally bought the books (not all though) I wanted at the Kinokuniya 20% storewide sale which ended just yesterday. The following books which I bought are:

1.The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama
2.The Best I Could, Subhas Anandan
3.How Not To Die, Jan Garavaglia *Currently reading

I felt that these three books are my most-sought after items in my wishlist. I though that I would miss the sale but luck is on our side. There was no lesson from 3 to 6 pm so I fully utilize the 3 hours to go to Orchard to shop, shop and SHOP! I still got a few books I want to buy:

1.Memoirs of LKY, Lee Kuan Yew
2.From 3rd World to 1st, Lee Kuan Yew
3.???

When I saw the book, it was really thick but the price is like $39 for each one. (me:wow! Thick but cheap?). I will let you into one of my secrets: I like non-fiction books (and beginning to read books).

After my Chingay practice, I went to Geylang Lor 1 Terminal to board svc. 853 along with a friend of mine. Along the route, this person came onboard the bus and sat down. A few moments later, he started singing...... like SUPER LOUD!! I suspect he had some sort of impairment so he was not aware of his surroudings. It was so noisy, I would rather listen to the beautiful bus engine rumbling than listening to him.

OMG! Action City is having a pre-order special for Abe Sapien (and Hellboy too) from Hellboy 2. The figurine will measure about 12 inches and will be prices at $225. Afterwhich, it will be priced at $249(me: I've no money. Might as well buy it at $249). Really must get it.

I attended my 2nd rehearsal (supposed to be 3rd) for Chingay 2009. We did the mass dance and the formation. What's left is to clean up my dance steps.

HELLO PPL!!! I'm back from my 2-day stay at Costa Sands(Pasir Ris). It's been a fun sleeping there (me: and a sick one too).

Day 1
Jun Ming fetch me from Pasir Ris MRT and we went to White Sands to shop for BBQ (me:yes,BBQ!) stuff. Afterwards, we went to our chalet,D02. The room was okay, except that the hot water in the bathroom wasn't working properly. I, Wanqi, Wenjing, Christine, Li Chuan, Roy and Vikinesh played Monopoly: The Singapore Edition. I played until my legs hurts. Anyway, the game had to end abruptly because we were all tired already. BBQ was up next. Just the lighting up itself is a struggle. Had to spend nearly 3 hours before it could even do a decent job. At 1:40am, I doze off along with Roy (me: By then, I was already coughing, having a sore throat and runny nose).

Day 2
Woke up at 11am. Had breakfast with Roy and Wenjing at Burger King (me:FINALLY, Burger King!!!). Ordered a burger with two fried eggs slapped onto the buns with lots of bacon and cheese and the patty itself. Sedap! We bought tickets to Escape Theme Park.

Day 2 - Escape Theme Park
We went aboard The Flipper where you will be seated in a cup and the thing will soar into the sky while spinning. You will feel a slight +ve G force but it's nothing actually. Rating: vv---

We move onto the Wet & Wild where I and Columbus are partnered. I sat at the front, bus sat at the back. The water-based ride will take you above 2 heights: the first one is about 2 1/2 storey. You will feel G-force a few times more than the flipper. I would say the first got me soaked. The second one is about 4 1/2 - 5 storeys. This is the one you will feel about 12x more G-force than the first one. Ratings: vvv--

Lastly we went on the Daytona Track(Advanced). It was cool just driving it legally without a license (me:hehe). Ratings: None.

At Night,we went back and did the flipper and the go-kart thing. But in addition, we did the Ship thing where they rock the ship front and back. It's the scariest thing I've ever ride out of all the rides I've ever rode. At night, I went back home.

Finally, after waiting endless days for that particular email, it finally came. I'll be starting my first training whereas the training has gone into the 5th training session already. (me:-gasping for air-). I've never told anyone about this, but I've joined the 2009 Chingay performance as a performer. (me: hehe)

^Drum Roll please^..... It's nearly the end of the first half of the semester, isn't it? (me:yup). Tomorrow will be my final test. After which, we'll go BBQ at Costa Sands Pasir Ris from 15 - 17 December. What a nice way to take a break from school. (inside thoughts: ooo... i wanna eat at hei sushi again!!! ooo.....i wanna go bowling!!)

EG2121 quiz is out(check your school email,ppl)! I got an: A! (the higher being A+)

EG2008 is simply impossible to complete within 1h30mins. Finish 4 questions (of course got some don't know the answer) within 1h15mins. So I was left with less than 15mins to do question 5. But in the end, Q.5 can't make it at all.

Looking back, I shouldn't have spent nearly all of my $1,200 on unnecessary stuff. This time, I'm making sure that every transaction with my $1,200 will be a wise one. In fact, I've drawn up a plan where $200 will be inserted into my FPP Debit Card and the rest into my POSB Debit card.

For those of you who doesn't know about it, I have now two cats (or kittens, depends on how you look at it) instead of just one. Guess how they look like? When I saw the poster for BOLT, I got instantly reminded by them. Bolt => Tompok(82% accuracy); Mitten => Comot(95% accuracy). Tempted to watch 'Cats Musical'.

I was thinking of buying myself a netbook/UMPC in a few years time. Right now, I'm currently using my 14.1" laptop for my own personal usage. Luckily, Semester 2 doesn't require us to bring our laptops(seldom use). If not, I would be doing weightlifting with it(or throw it around like a frisbie). I'll check it out in the next PC show and come at the last day(that's where the price slashing comes into effect).

My stuff from US came today!(actually that was a few days back). Want to know what I ordered? Hellboy 2:The Golden Army, Die Hard Trilogy and Tropic Thunder. In addition, my Olay regenerist thermal peel, st.Ives Hydroxy masque and Hawaiian Tropic 30 SPF Face sunscreen arrived a week after that. When I saw the packages, I smiled widely.

I'M BACK!!!!! It's been a very long time since i've (deleted) or abandoned my blog completely. (audience: well DUH!) I can't even remember how long i've never blog. So let's get on to the main program:

As of right now, I am in the midst of my Common Tests. I have only 3 tests, of which one has been completed. I must thank my lecturer for telling us the exact formula(es) that we should learn. the next one is the killer one: Maths. Hell, I predict that there will be a lot (and i mean, A LOT) of moderation. The last test will be held on a thursday. After which, sayonara for my two weeks holiday!

I got a haircut from It's Hairy at FEP (aka Far East Plaza). I was doubting myself whether I wanted to go have a haircut and I kept circling the 4th floor for 3 to 5 times before I decided to pick up my courage to go inside. Phew, they saved my hair from a potential disaster (and 42 bucks just rocketed off from my pocket). I have now vowed to keep my fringe short (or just above the eyebrow).

My left eye was swollen for a few days. The reason: There was a pimple in the sac under my eye. It's like someone punched my eyes. Thankfully, it subsided after 1 week or so.

Celebrated my birthday at my house (yes, it's my parent's house). Mum baked a cake for me at that was sweet for her. I'VE OFFICIALLY TURNED 18! Time to watch M18 movies.

I've lost that someone today and will never reconcile with that person again
